Is World of Warcraft Dead In Patch 4.3?
WoW Insider has the latest on the WoW: Cataclysm expansion! First of all, I want to make clear that I think wow is a great game. That is not to say that it hasn’t been without its mistakes, but in order to keep the game exciting, Blizzard has had to experiment with us and we should be grateful for it. With that said, there’s a big divide among players thats nearly impossible to bridge and I think that will always be the case as long as wow is around.No.1 Place to buy WOW gold cheap, fast and safe?Robust World of Warcraft store provides ur 20% buying gold coupon So from my observations, listed below are a few reasons why people have left the game. Please note this an all inclusive list.

Reason #1: Changes to class mechanics/difficulty
Some players are hardcore and others are casual but there can only be one wow. So hats off to Blizzard on trying to make it all work.
Many of the more recent class mechanics changed so much that people bitched and moaned more than usual. Nothing new there but when it came to a major change to healers and how everyone related to them, people started leaving in droves.
Then there is the issue of difficulty, wow used to have a level of difficulty such that not everyone progressed through all the content. So Blizzard changed things to make it accessible to everyone. This of course pissed off all the players who wanted achievements and uniqueness to separate themselves from the masses. Wether or not you think Blizzard’s changes are fair, its still one of the reasons why people started to quit.
Reason #2: Players Got Tired of the grind
After 6 or 7 years of playing I think some players simply got tired of the grind. Every new expansion is higher level mobs, but seemingly the same grind, only the scenery and lore changes. Though we love to revisit some of our old wow experiences, some things painted as “new” weren’t really fooling us. When you think about it, no matter how many new levels and dungeons and raids there are, you still have to do the same things to overcome them. Grind your way through PVP, or grind your way to level cap, farm your required profession mats, grind your badges, grind your ways through pre-raids and raids to get to item level, and then grind some more till you get to where you want to be in the game. While some players enjoyed the fresh start, others still wanted to bask in all their epic glory for a while more. Of course you might say, “if they don’t like it then they should just quit the game,” and thats what they have in fact done.
Reason #3: Outside forces which Blizzard has no control over, the economy
Then well theres the economy. No, not the wow economy, the real world economy, which we can say is to blame for almost everything right now. While players are stocking up on in-game gold, many in the real word are stocking up on real gold so it may have gotten people thinking about what kind of “farming” they really want to do.
And quite a lot of other blogger interpreted the announcement of patch 4.3 as sign of World of Warcraft's imminent death.I can’t tell you how many people I’ve come across in-game that were having personal issues as a result and needed to quit even if they wanted to keep playing. Yes, the monthly wow expense isn’t too much, but when you don’t have a job or are underemployed or don’t have enough money to put food on the table or a roof over your head wow has to be the first to go.
